Can Enyimba Go Pass Egyptian Pyramids? Goalkeeper John Noble Shed Light on the CAF Confederation Cup Quarter-Final Encounter

"

Impossible is nothing with our God" - John Noble Enyimba's first choice goalkeeper

Enyimba FC goalkeeper John Noble says Impossible is nothing! And he’s prepared to shed the last pint of his blood in a bid to ensure the people's elephants go pass Egyptian’s Pyramid in the quarter-final of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Enyimba’s Group A was on fire until the last round, before they succeeded in finishing first after collecting nine points from three victories and losing three matches.

On the other hand, Pyramid booked their ticket at the quarterfinals after finishing the group stage second in Group D with 12 points, winning in four matches and losing in the remaining two matches which were against group leaders Morocco’s Rajaa Casablanca who have won all their games.

However, in a chat with a Lagos-based radio station, Noble, who was part of Gernot Rohr’s squad that qualified for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, stated that the players are determined to make Nigeria proud by beating Pyramid.

“We said to ourselves that we are not going out now, this Pyramid will be brought down flat. We must qualify so you see with that kind of spirit there's no stopping us. . When that Spirit is in a team you will see that the result will come out well. I actually believe we will do well, we are surely going to make Nigeria proud in this very one. It gives us that unity and that Spirit knowing too well that we are not playing against a small team.”

Pyramids will be hosting Enyimba at the June30 Air Defence Stadium, Hay Al Asher, Nasr City, Cairo Egypt this weekend, Sunday May16 2021, Time: 17:00 GMT+ (5 O'Clock Nigeria's time). The return leg will be played at Enyimba International stadium Aba Nigeria on Sunday May23, 2021.
