Manchester United staged a massive comeback to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 in Tuesday’s Premier League Boxing Day fixture at Old Trafford.
A brace from Alejandro Garnacho and a solitary strike from Rasmus Hojlund cancelled out Villa’s 2-0 first half lead.
United climb up to sixth place on 31 points in the league table while Villa are in third on 39 points.
John McGinn gave Villa the lead in the 21st minute before Leander Dendoncker doubled the lead on 26 minutes.
Three minutes into the second half Garnacho thought he had pulled a goal back for United but after consultation with VAR it was disallowed.
Garnacho didn’t allow that affect his game as he eventually scored on 59 minutes to make it 2-1.
The young Argentine then drew United level in the 71st minute while Hojlund got the winner with eight minutes left.
