Junior Lokosa Set NPFL On Fire, Firing From All Cylinder

Junior Lokosa, Kano Pillars' star striker, perhaps, the most prolific goal getter in Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL),  scored for eleven straight week in his away goal against Kwara United

The former First Bank of Lagos striker has already made history as the scorer of the first goal of the new NPFL following his strike at Katsina United. He is now aiming not only to be the higest goal scorer this season, but hoping he will beat the 23 goals mark held by Enyimba's Mfon Udoh, as all time highest goal scorer in NPFL.

The averagely-built Junior Lokosa is intelligent, has good positioning and packs a decent shot. His high point is how he steals the ball between opponent defenders in the eighteen yard box and his fast break on the run of play, dribbling through defenders in such tight space, just like Lionel Messi.

Lokosa is leading the goals chart with 12 goals; far ahead of the current runners up, Ndifreke Effiong (Abia Warriors) 6 goals.

Last season, he scored seven goals when he joined Pillars on a mid-season transfer and he is showing already that his performance wasn't in any way a fluke
