Wilfred Ndidi: Most Wanted Nigerian Star, Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona on the Queue
Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly wanted by Premier League outfit Arsenal
after talks with his representatives.
The Nigerian has been a key figure for Leicester City this season
which has also seen fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool ready to spend big
on him.
The 21-year-old has been a top performer in England which sees him
ranked as the best tackler in the league.
According to a report the Sun, Arsenal wants Ndidi as a midfield
reinforcement in the summer.
Ndidi who was brought in to Leicester in 2016 following the
departure of Ngolo Kante, has become one of the consistent players in the
starting eleven.
The report states that Arsenal has already made contact with
Ndidi’s representatives for a potential move this summer, with Arsene Wenger
reportedly an admirer of Ndidi.
The report states that "There has been so much interest in
him. He is going to be a top player and Arsenal have been in contact,"
Ndidi’s representatives denied making contact with Barcelona, but
the report states that he may be willing to join compatriot Alex Iwobi at the
Emirates Stadium.
The report states, "Arsene Wenger is a manager he admires a
lot and his friend Alex Iwobi has told him lots of great things.”
Accordong to the report Arsenal will like to wrap up the deal for
Ndidi before he goes off to represent Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in
Russia.
Ndidi is ranked among the most
valuable players in the world and a fee for his services will be in the region
of $75million.
