Everybody Want to "Take" - The Japanese Wonderkid You May Not Have Heard Of

Every Club in Europe Want This Japanese Wonderkid.  FC Tokyo’s 17-year-old Takefusa Kubo – known as ‘Take’ – is a transfer target for major European clubs this summer

Take is expected to leave club FC Tokyo – where he became J1 league’s youngest ever player when he made his debut aged 15  in 2016.

Now a number of Europe’s top clubs hope to land the attacking midfielder, nicknamed ‘the Japanese Messi’,  as he is about to turn 18 this summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are engaged in a transfer battle to land this highly-rated Japanese teenager
‘Take’ as he is otherwise known, was one of the youngster for whom Barcelona were sanctioned by FIFA for signing underage players.

This coming June, he turns 18 and could leave FC Tokyo for a future in Europe at a big club.

Barcelona are working on his return but they are not the only ones, with Real Madrid and PSG having made their interest known to the player’s agent.

The teenager is on Los Blancos’ radar, but the club maintains that Take has a commitment to Barcelona in the event that he returns to Europe once he has reached the age of 18. Rumour has it that Manchester City and Bayern Munich may join the battle

Take is a player with massive potential, with excellent technique and whose specialty is not to score but to provide for his teammates. Some analysts are of the opinion that Take will perfectly fit into the shoes of Andre Inesta and may even possess more capabilities. This teenage superstar is currently lighting up the Japanese league

Just two months ago, Barcelona felt that the deal for his return was wrapped but the club has found unexpected obstacles in their way. That means the battle is still on!
