The Nigeria international is one of the highest goalscorers in Barcelona’s history but she is showing no sign of slowing down
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala came off the bench to bag a second-half hat-trick as Barcelona crushed Real Betis 7-0 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on Sunday.
Barcelona were already three goals up before Oshoala was introduced into the fray for Ana-Maria Crnogorčević in the 59th minute.
And the former Arsenal star needed only two minutes before she grabbed her first of the day off a Fridolina Rolfö assist.
Rolfo provided the assist for Oshoala to net her second goal in the 77th minute with a Mariona Caldentey’s strike sandwiched between the Nigerian’s brace.
And Rolfö made it a hat-trick of assists when she sent in a delicious cross for Oshoala to smash home her third deep into stoppage time.
With her latest haul, Oshoala has climbed to the top of the goalscorer chart with 17 goals, overtaking Levante’s Alba Redondo (16) and Real Madrid’s Esther González (15).
